Prayer is what drives the engine of the church. It brings us into the presence of God and provides us with the opportunity to cast our cares upon Him. Here at River Ridge Church you can receive weekly prayer requests by asking Pastor Kerry to be added to the prayer support list (Kerry@riverridgewi.com). You’re also invited to join us from 9-9:30 on Sunday mornings for thirty minutes of prayer prior to our worship service. As we draw near to God His power is unleashed in His people and in the local church.
River Ridge Kids
Deuteronomy 6:5-9 says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Teaching children about our faith is essential, and we are here to assist you in your journey! River Ridge Kids (birth-5th grade) is designed to assist kids in discovering the God who loves them unconditionally. Each Sunday, the kids will participate in worship and prayer, and then will learn the Bible through hands-on teaching and activities in a safe, kid-friendly environment.
River Ridge Junior High Group (Unite)
Jeremiah Bauman, Youth Ministry graduate from Moody Bible Institute, Jordon Bauman, Brittany Bauman, and Lynlee Reed lead the junior high fellowship at River Ridge. The group meets every Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Grass Lake Elementary School (26177 W Grass Lake Rd, Antioch, IL 60002). We are very excited about the opportunity to get to know the junior highers and grow in Christ. If you're wondering what happens at the meetings ... we goof around some, playing games and enjoying activities that help us all get to know each other. We also teach key principles from God's Word that serve as an anchor for us in a time when truth is often thought of as whatever anyone wants it to be. We’ll also try to equip you to live like Christ and minister to your friends. The junior high youth fellowship is a blast! We hope you'll join us at one of our upcoming meetings and bring your friends with you.
River Ridge Senior High Group (Ignite)
Jacob and Yessenia (Yessi) Germain lead the senior high youth fellowship at River Ridge Church. We meet every Sunday of the month from 6-8pm at Grass Lake Elementary School (26177 W Grass Lake Rd, Antioch, IL 60002) or for special events at our home (633 Indian Trial Road, Antioch, IL). We're looking forward to getting to know you and working together to create a welcoming environment where the group can feel comfortable getting to know one another and learning more about the Christian faith. We'll have some fun together, take a retreat or two during the year and most importantly spend some time, diving into the Bible to discover what God is saying about His purpose for our lives. Hope to see you soon!

Connections (Small Groups)
We encourage all Christ followers or seekers to take advantage of any or all of our River Ridge Church Small Groups. The goal of River Ridge’s Small Groups is to connect people to Jesus Christ, each other, and the community. Small groups are the life-blood of our church. Everyone, from the newcomer to Christianity to the well-seasoned believer, is invited and encouraged to be a part of our any of our small groups. At River Ridge church we offer different small group opportunities for men, women, and young adults seeking to further their relationship with Jesus.
One opportunity is through participation in “Connection Groups”. Connection groups are multigenerational small groups that minister to men, women, singles, and couples. The groups provide four important components: fellowship, prayer, study of God’s word, and outreach to the community. They are for the very new as well as the experienced believer. Our groups are set up according to geographic location and meet in members’ homes. Every month or so we plan to participate in community outreach with our small group communities. Through our small group ministry, we look to get closer to God, get to know each other better, and become a church that extends beyond the four walls of a building to show the love of Christ to our neighbors.
In addition to Connection Groups, periodically throughout the year, we offer traditional Bible studies for men and women that focus on specific Books of the Bible. These studies provide the participant with the opportunity to take a deep dive into a specific book or bible topic to increase the participant’s understanding of Scripture and the application of the lessons into their lives.
“Man-to-man” is a men’s small group open Bible study that meets weekly. Their mission is to read and discuss one or more chapters of the Bible sequentially each week and discuss it in detail as a group. In additional to Bible study, they set aside time to pray, encourage, and support one another.
Women are encouraged to get involved in Women’s Ministry events. The purpose of the Women’s Ministry is to Love Women to Christ. They do this by connecting women to each other by offering several social events throughout the year. The desire is to minister and encourage each other as well as disciple new believers.
“The League” is a small group that meets weekly designed for young adults, ages from high school graduate to 29 years old. They study a Book from the Bible that is applicable in their lives today, spend time in prayer, and always leave time to have fun together as a group and create a close community.
The worship ministry exists to proclaim God’s glory and greatness through the gift of music and the arts in accordance with Scripture. We seek to honor God and share the gospel by assisting the congregation in singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to one another (Eph. 5:19). This is done through a variety of music with an emphasis on communal worship. Our service includes weekly worship teams and a choir and orchestra ministry.
Through our outreach efforts we are able to build bridges to the unchurched by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and doing good works in His name. Each year we host several large events for the community that positions us to build the reputation of Christ as we love others the way He loves us. On a smaller scale, many of our connection groups serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our neighbors. If you’re interested in learning more, please contact Pastor Kerry at email@example.com
