Prayer is essential to individual believers and the whole body of Christ. It is the way God established for us to converse with Him. Prayer is a way to serve one another and bear each others’ burdens. Through prayer, God’s presence and lordship grows stronger and is more apparent in our lives individually and as a body of believers. River Ridge Church is committed to prayer. If anyone has immediate prayer needs or requests, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be added to our list. We will also have prayer cards available to fill out on Sundays that can be dropped in the offering bag and we will pray for or with you.
River Ridge Kids
Deuteronomy 6:5-9 says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Teaching children about our faith is essential, and we are here to assist you in your journey! River Ridge Kids (birth-5th grade) is designed to assist kids in discovering the God who loves them unconditionally. Each Sunday, the kids will participate in worship and prayer, and then will learn the Bible through hands-on teaching and activities in a safe, kid-friendly environment.
River Ridge Junior High Group (Unite)
Jeremiah Bauman and Aaron Budoff, Youth Ministry Majors from Moody Bible Institute, lead the junior high fellowship at River Ridge. The group meets every Sunday evening from 6–8pm at the home of Vic and Cheri Tuccy (1860 Red Oak Lane, Spring Grove, IL). We are very excited about the opportunity to get to know the junior highers and grow in Christ. If you’re wondering what happens at the meetings … we goof around some, playing games and enjoying activities that help us all get to know each other. We also teach key principles from God’s Word that serve as an anchor for us in a time when truth is often thought of as whatever anyone wants it to be. We’ll also try to equip you to live like Christ and minister to your friends. The junior high youth fellowship is a blast! We hope you’ll join us at one of our upcoming meetings and bring your friends with you.
River Ridge Senior High Group (Ignite)
Jacob and Yessenia (Yessi) Germain lead the senior high youth fellowship at River Ridge Church. They meet the every Sundays of the month from 6-8pm at our home (633 Indian Trial Road, Antioch, IL). We’re looking forward to getting to know you and working together to create a welcoming environment where the group can feel comfortable getting to know one another and learning more about the Christian faith. We’ll have some fun together, take a retreat or two during the year and most importantly spend some time, diving into the Bible to discover what God is saying about His purpose for our lives. Hope to see you soon!
Young Adult Group (The League)
The group ranges between high school graduate age to 30 years old and meets weekly on Sunday night from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., generally rotating houses between 3 leaders. They study a Book from the Bible that is applicable in their lives today, spend time in prayer, and always leave time to have fun together as a group and create a close community. You can learn more about them and get connected through their Facebook page at https://facebook.com/

The goal of River Ridge’s small groups is to connect people to Jesus Christ, each other, and the community. Small groups are the life-blood of our church. Everyone, from the newcomer to Christianity to the well-seasoned believer, is invited and encouraged to be a part of our “connection” small groups . Connection groups will have four important components: fellowship, prayer, study of God’s word, and outreach to the community. Our groups will be set up according to geographic location and will meet in members’ homes. Every month or so we plan to participate in community outreach with our small group communities. Through our small group ministry, we look to get closer to God, get to know each other better, and become a church that extends beyond the four walls of a building to show the love of Christ to our neighbors.
The worship ministry exists to proclaim God’s glory and greatness through the gift of music and the arts in accordance with Scripture. We seek to honor God and share the gospel by assisting the congregation in singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to one another (Eph. 5:19). This is done through a variety of music with an emphasis on communal worship. Our service includes weekly worship teams and a choir and orchestra ministry.
Outreach Ministry goes out into the community and enjoys outings, making friendships, and partnering with others for the purpose of showing and leading those who do not know Jesus’ love and saving grace. If you see a need in your community to serve the physical, emotional, or spiritual needs of others, please send us an email directly to Pastor Kerry at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will bring the request to the Outreach team for review.
